6. Use a good moisturizer
Using a moisturizer for your skin is very important for any type of skin. It helps skin by forming a thin
film on the surface of the skin to prevent any loss of moisture and attract water from the air to moisturize
the skin.
It's best to apply some moisturizer right after you bath. This locks in all the water your skin was able to
soak up in the shower. Just gently pat yourself dry and smooth on the moisturizer. It'll have you looking
healthier in no time, with soft, hydrated skin.
Moisturize your skin, especially in the winter. If you get dry skin on a normal basis, find a moisturizer
suited to your skin type.
7. Use a cleanser and an exfoliant
Cleanser usage is very important as they remove all the dirt and oil trapped in your skin. It makes your
skin clean and looks clear. It is good to use a cleanser two times a day, morning after getting up and
evening. Always remember to use a pH balanced cleanser or a face wash.
Exfoliants remove away dead skin and polish up what remains, leaving it shiny and fresh. Only keep in
mind, you don't want an exfoliator that's too rough or it can scrape your skin and leave it damaged. Get
something that's gentle and not overly coarse, especially if you tend to break out a lot, because harsh
exfoliation can aggravate acne.
8. Treat your skin gently
Always remember to treat your skin gently. Use very soft scrubs, soft towels to dry your skin and don’t
wear cloths with materials which irritate your skin.
9. Remove your make up before going to bed
Many of us don't do this, but makeup can clog your pores if you leave it on too long, causing skin
irritation and pimples.
10 Don’t touch blemishes
Don't touch your blemishes other than to gently cleanse and apply products meant to treat them. Apply a
product containing 10% benzyl peroxide for good results.
