NATURAL REMEDIES for a healthy skin #1 | Page 13

4. Have a good sleep everyday Getting a good night's rest daily is very important ritual because your skin is the reflection of your sleep. Sleep is the time to rejuvenate and relax your skin. Skin gets busy replenishing itself during a sound sleep. It's also great because, at least for a portion of the day, skin gets to avoid all the dirt, pollution and any other nastiness floating around in the air. So don’t forget to have your good night sleep every day. 5. Don not Smoke Smoking makes your skin look older and contributes to wrinkles. Smoking narrows the tiny blood vessels in the outermost layers of skin, which decreases blood flow. This depletes the skin of oxygen and nutrients that are important to skin health. Smoking also damages collagen and elastin — the fibers that give your skin its strength and elasticity. In addition, the repetitive facial expressions you make when smoking — such as pursing your lips when inhaling and squinting your eyes to keep out smoke — can contribute to wrinkles. 9
