4 WEDNESDAY, MAY 14 Pre-Conference Agenda 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM Session: Fundraising 2.0 Veteran fundraiser Kathleen Gasperine will lead a training on “fundraising 2.0,” going beyond the basics and focusing on insider tips and high-level strategies for women in elected office to build their networks and their coffers. Kathleen Gasperine Organizing for Action Kathleen Gasperine serves as the National Development Director for Organizing for Action. Most recently, she served as the New England Finance Director for the Obama Victory Fund. Previously as a consultant, she served as the Finance Director for the successful re-election campaign of Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick in 2010 and as the New England Finance Director for the Democratic National Committee from 2009 to 2011. Additional clients of Gasperine Consulting include the US Senate campaigns of Robin Carnahan and Senator Kirsten Gillibrand; Massachusetts Ways and Means Chairman Representative Charles Murphy; and Be the Change, Inc., a nonprofit promoting and expanding community and national service opportunities. Gasperine has also served as the New England Deputy Finance Director for the Democratic National Committee during the general election of 2008 and as the Deputy New England Finance Director for Hillary Clinton for President primary campaign. Gasperine has worked in fundraising for Senator John Kerry and Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell, as scheduler for a candidate for New York Statewide office, and for the Kauffman Group, the national fundraising consultant for Erskine Bowles for US Senate in 2004. Kathleen is a graduate of Ithaca College with dual degrees in Organizational Communication (BS) and Politics (BS).
