DAYVIN HALLMON County Board Supervisor
Kenosha, Wisconsin
In 2008, County Board Supervisor Dayvin Martin Anthony Hallmon was first elected to office at
the age of 23. Supervisor Hallmon is currently pursuing a bachelor of arts in sociology along with
a bachelor of arts in humanities at the University of Wisconsin. His approach to his work involves
integrating multiple disciplines to enhance programs, policy, and community development. In
2012, Hallmon was named chair of the Kenosha County Human Services Committee, where he
oversees budgeting and other functions of the health and human service programs.

MATT HANEY School Board President
San Francisco, California
Matt Haney is the president of the San Francisco Unified School District Board of Education,
where he is responsible for determining policy, budget, curriculum, educational goals, and
standards for all Pre-K-12 public schools in San Francisco. Haney has worked to end the “school
to prison pipeline,” including authoring a landmark policy to transform San Francisco’s school
discipline system and address racial disproportionality, and he recently authored a policy to
expand computer science and coding education to all students and schools in San Francisco.
Haney is director of policy at Dream Corps, where he leads policy advocacy for #cut50, an
initiative to cut the prison population in half in 10 years, and #YesWeCode, an initiative to
create a pipeline for low-opportunity youth to become the best coders, computer engineers, and
designers. Haney is the former executive director of the UC Student Association, lecturer and
fellow at the Stanford University Design School, and a graduate of UC Berkeley, Stanford Law,
and Stanford School of Education.
MATT HANSEN State Senator
Lincoln, Nebraska
State Senator Matt Hansen serves in the Nebraska legislature, representing District 26 in
Northeast Lincoln. He was elected in November 2014 and serves on the legislature’s General
Affairs, Urban Affairs, and Government, Military and Veterans Affairs Committees and is the
chair of Enrollment and Review. A Lincoln native, he is a graduate of the University of Nebraska
– Lincoln and the University of Nebraska College Of Law.
