Jeremy Nordquist

Former State Senator

Jeremy Nordquist began serving as chief of staff to U.S Congressman
Brad Ashford on July 1, 2015. Prior to this position; Nordquist represented
District 7 in the Nebraska legislature from 2009 to 2015. Former Sen.
Nordquist was the chairman of the Nebraska Retirement Systems
Committee and served as a member of the Appropriations, State-Tribal
Relations, Rules and Children’s Behavioral Health Oversight Committees.
Nordquist served as the chairman of the Health Committee for the National Conference of State
Legislatures (NCSL) in 2010 and as a member of the NCSL Executive Committee. Nordquist led
successful efforts to increase the state’s minimum wage, allow DREAMers to get drivers’ licenses,
increase funds for early childhood education and higher education, reform state defined-benefit
pension plans, incentivize th
