Julian McTizic
City Councilman
Bolivar, Tennessee
Julian Anderson McTizic Sr. is a native of Bolivar, a small, rural town in
Hardeman County, T.N. Born in December of 1986, he is the youngest
African American to hold a seat as a city councilman in Hardeman County.
In addition to serving as a city councilman, McTizic is also a member of his
local Rotary chapter, the Bolivar General Hospital Healthcare Foundation,
and a proud representative of WoodmenLife (formerly known as Woodmen
of the World). While he is passionate about local politics, his favorite pastime is making memories
with his wife of seven years, Demetria, and their toddler boys Julian Jr., 3, and Jamison, 2. His love
for his family and people in general is what drives him to bring positive change to his community. His
favorite quote, “Be the change you wish to see in the world,” encourages him to continue striving for
success in his political career.
