Take time to learn about wealthy Theban kings, and
queens
In true idealistic and romanticized form, the city of Thebes serves as
the setting for numerous myths (Oedipus, Cadmus, Hercules’ Labors,
etc.). It was the largest city in the region of Boeotia, Greece and
had a rich history complete with battles against Spartan forces and
alliances with the Persians! Spend some time reading or watching
some movies about the stories and turmoil that made it famous.
