From humble beginnings , Diamond T has grown from its original 5,000-square-foot shop to current facilities amounting to 85,000 square feet , which include an overhead rail system feeding a new paint and finish line allowing for faster production without sacrificing quality . “ We have been growing at a steady rate since we began , and it is important to grow at a rate that we can ensure the quality of the build will not be compromised just for the sake of selling a trailer .” Philip Teague adds , “ I think any dealer who compares our build , warranty , and customer service to any manufacturer will have to consider us .”
With the continued growth , work is ongoing to expand the line of trailer models . New models include a low-pro dump and a beam frame skid-pro equipment trailer , available in gooseneck and bumper pull . Additionally , they continue to redesign and improve existing models to include a full line of gooseneck and pintle flat decks , equipment trailers , tilt decks , car haulers , as well as tandem and single axle utilities . Future models in the works include hydraulic full tilt flat decks and hydraulic dovetail flat decks .
We asked Philip what he believed led to the success Diamond T has experienced over the years , and he told us , “ I guess I ’ m old school in the way I look at it . If I ’ m the customer , I expect a certain level of quality and service . So , we ’ re committed to nothing less than what we would expect as customers . When you look at it from that perspective , it ’ s simple .” He added , “ When customers call , we answer the phone . If there is an issue , we try to fix it .”
While thankful for their family of new and long-time dealers , there is also an appreciation for those who help make all this possible . Philip Teague stated , “ We have so many long-term employees that we appreciate because of their dedication and understanding of how important our dealers are to the company .” He understands the company would not exist without that support team in place .
