Only accept purchases from customers in store. Due
to the high number of cases, it may be imperative that
you cease taking transactions over the phone.
Take a picture of the individual. If you do allow a
purchase to be made over the phone, be sure to take a
picture of the individual physically picking up the trailer.
Be wary of anyone trying to purchase a trailer over the
phone. Though it’s almost impossible to tell if someone
is acting strange over the phone, take notes of odd
interaction or questions from purchasers.
Check your insurance policy. Unfortunately, not all
insurance companies provide adequate protection
against fraudulent charges. Call your insurance company
today to discuss possible implications and adjust your
business practices accordingly.
