The Practice: Getting
Projects
Miguel C.
Guerrero III, FUAP
The Practice: Getting Projects shall uncover
some of these mysteries and give you tips on
Marketing. The starting point will be YOU, the
architect – who are you and what can you do?
Then move on to the need to specialize, how
and where to pick up leads, presentation and
social skills, negotiation skills, and pricing -all presented in simple, easy to understand
format. The presentation is oriented to the
Small Practice.
One of the significant factors
in the life of a community in
Catholic Parishes, as regards the
temporalities, which contributes to
its growth, is the construction or
renovation of a church. Therefore, a
systematic planning, conservation,
renovation, and construction of
Catholic churches in the Philippines
based on sound theology and
liturgy that express beauty and
truth reflective of the faith these
church buildings represent, will
yield to an effective architectural
solution. This is done through
collaborative
effort
from
the
different stakeholders involved in
the construction. Identifying the
role of every stakeholder will ensure
a smooth, conflict-free and blissful
rapport during its construction
phase. The architects who involve
themselves in any Church project
become catalysts of change and
renders an invaluable service and
contribution in the architectural
profession, in the life of the
community and to God.
