To the officers and members of the United Architects of the Philippines
(UAP), my warmest greetings on the occasion of your 37th National
Convention on 27-30 April 2011 at the SMX Convention Center.
I would also like to congratulate the creative, hardworking and dynamic
men and women who are organizing and coordinating the impressive
activities that are lined up for this occasion. Aside from your member
professionals, this three-day affair also gathers people from various
professional and academic backgrounds, thus providing a pool of ideas
for everyone to draw from. I encourage each and every participant to seize
this opportunity to link up with major industry players, learn new ideas
and technologies and explore novel ways to improve concept, design and
structure.
Moreover, I would also like to commend the choice of your theme,
“Reinventing S.O.A.: Service-Oriented Architecture.” This manifests your
determination to make your profession proactive and relevant amidst the
changing economic and social landscape, as well as your collective efforts
to deliver the best service possible and contribute to nation-building.
Let me wish the participants and guests a very meaningful and
