improve living standards, and build a worldwide market for Philippine products and services.
Enterprise architects set up small or medium-sized fir ms to address design needs for a
variety of development projects from highrise towers to private homes, from luxury resorts
to boutique hotels, retail and entertainment facilities, to institutions such as schools,
museums, hospitals, theatre. They form groups to serve outsource requirements of foreign
and local architectural firms for CAD or rendering services. Driven to succeed, the enterprise
architect deals with challenges brought about by financial difficulties, environmental
changes, political uncertainties, and technological advances by utilizing his creative skills
as an artist and as an entrepreneur to transform the world around him. This paper will talk
about how enterprise architects read the environment, look for opportunities, strategize,
and plan, to be equipped to meet present and future challenges.
