I wish to extend my warmest regards to the participants of the United
Architects of the Philippines’ 37th National Convention. Likewise, I wish to
congratulate the UAP for being the only Accredited Professional Organization
(APO) in our country to be bestowed the prestigious Professional Regulation
Commission’s Most Outstanding APO Award for three years.
Your theme “Reinventing S.O.A.: Service-Oriented Architecture” is
very apt. This comes at a time when our country is beginning to hope again.
It needs individuals and organizations committed to serve as partners of
the Aquino government in upholding and promoting the best interests of
the Filipino people.
I am glad to hear that UAP is very active in its efforts to advocate
sustainable changes. This event will certainly help Filipino architects
remain at the forefront of their profession and passion.
May you continue to enhance our country’s design practices and may
you never tire of adapting international trends to complement the needs
and cultural evocations of the Filipino people.
Congratulations on a successful and noble endeavor.
