AR. MARIA NINA BAILON-ARCE, fuap She is the Senior Partner at Arce-Bailon-Arce Architect Ar. Arce won the National & International Competitions as a student, was a consistent scholar and Dean’s Lister and Rector’s Awardee. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from The University of Santo Tomas in 1981 and placed Top 5 at the PRC Board Exams in July 1983. She worked with F.F.Cruz & Co., Inc. for 16 years. With service in mind, she volunteers for the Girl Scouts of the Philippines Real Properties & Buildings Committee since 2000 and was elected member of the GSP National Board for Triennium 2012-2015, She was appointed in various positions in the UAP “Balangkasan” and was President of the UAP Manila Atelier Chapter in 1997-1998. 29. AR. MARIANO S. ARCE, JR., fuap Ar. Arce is a Member of the College of Fellows of the United Architects of the Philippines. He received his bachelor’s degree at the University of Sto. Tomas in 1981. He taught in the College of Architecture from 1986 to 2000. In 1987, he established his own architectural design firm Arce-Bailon-Arce Architects with his college classmate and love ly wife, Arch. Ma. Nina Bailon-Arce where he assumes the position of Managing Partner ever since. He is also active in the Church Community where he and his wife belong and became the National Coordinating Couple of the Worldwide Marriage Encounter in 2003-2005. He currently resides and works in Quezon City with their three children, two of whom are licensed architects who work with their firm. 30. AR. PAMELA NANTES AMADOR, fuap From her humble beginnings, being raised by both government employees in a family of seven, she graduated Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Santo Tomas, Manila in 1980. Her career started at the National Housing Authority and molded her into a service-oriented professional. Public service shifted to private practice with her husband Ar. Zoilo Joaquin “Jack” Amador. She also found herself active in the United Architects of the Philippines. 28. AR. GUILLERMO apec ar. H. HISANCHA, fuap, He is a Fellow of the UAP and was conferred as an “APEC Architect”. He was awarded as “One of the Most Outstanding Men of Iloilo” in 2011 and University of San Agustin’s “Most Outstanding Alumni Achievement Awardee” in the Field of Architecture this year. Ar. Hisancha specializes in Hospital Planning and Design and currently, he is doing the upgrading of 11 District Hospitals and the Iloilo Provincial Hospital in Iloilo. Interestingly, he has been an elected Government Official for five consecutive terms as Municipal Councilor twice and three-time Vice Mayor of the Municipality of Pavia, Iloilo. 31. AR. MARIA ELENA B. CARLOSCAYANAN, fuap She was architectural designer to Luis Ma. Araneta, and Associates and Assistant to the principal architect at Cresenciano C. de Castro and Associates. asean architects 27. Further on, with her husband, she did interior architecture and fabricate furniture as an entrepreneur, at the same time teaching at the Philippine School of Interior Design, then at Far Eastern University Institute of Architecture and Fine Arts, then at the University of Santo Tomas College of Architecture until she retired in 2009. She believes that education is a lifetime endeavour. Ar. Cayanan graduated BS Architecture at Mapua Institute of Technology in 1964, earned a Master in Architecture degree in 2003 and is now pursuing her Dissertation for a PhD, both at the University of Santo Tomas.She has published scholarly researches in journals and awaits publication of Philippine pioneer architects' biography book. She is presently the Dean of the College of Architecture at the University of Perpetual Help in Calamba, Laguna. 83
