The first game in our respective roles and I think everything went very well.
Victoria CC was in as good a condition as I can recall playing -the greens were a treat to putt
on, although many found the p in placing’s tough!
Congratulations to the Divisional Winners, Bevan Manson in A-Division with 37 points (Greg,
please get him to become a full member now!!!), Andrew Walker in B-Division with 35 points
and Blake Shepherd in C-Division with 36 points.
Our Lotto winner for the month was Jay van Rensburg.
Thank you to Barbara Chelin and Ian Brewer for doing the scoring after the game. Prize-giving
went smoothly – thanks to Steve for setting the prize table and to Ian Pace for doing the fines.
In terms of the progress of Andrew Mentis beneficiaries I received an e-mail today from Glen
Dalton, and I shall liaise with him regarding approval of my beneficiary, Vukukahnye. I have
also had a couple of other projects that I have been asked to look at and will spend the next
couple of weeks vetting these and getting the final beneficiaries through to the Andrew Mentis
Committee.
I would also like to get my Golf Day Committee going within the next month so if any of you
wish to be part of this please give me a shout too – help is always needed! You do get
additional points in terms of Nationals Qualification Criteria for being part of this committee
