Monthly Newsletter July 2018 NATAL NOMADS THE CLUB SYMBOL Our Club badge, a bell crossed by a golf club, is symbolic of the raison d'être of the 'NOMADS' - through golf, the remembrance of others. www.natalnomads.co.za It is printed in the renowned extract from the Meditations of John Donne (1573-1631): 'No man is an island entire of itself; Every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main; Any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind; And therefore, never send to know for whom the bell tolls; It tolls for thee.' The Management and Staff do an excellent job with their limited resources and their course has been very consistent over the years, especially for the middle of winter! Abel Erasmus, Captain of Cato, Tom Barff, VC, and Shaun ‘Chicken Joe’ Barker, thank you very much for a great day out……..it isn’t often I get to play with my Nomads ‘Besties’, so thank you Samson and Helen for a great random draw…………. Apologies for the issue with hot water in the showers after the game, we have undertaken to see how Nomads can assist Cato in this regard. Please watch this space………....the clubs we play at often go the extra mile for us and it is only fair that we give back where we can. AWARDS Upcoming: 10 Year tie Special Presentation: INDUCTIONS New Applications received from : I had the distinct pleasure of inducting 2 new Natal Nomads at Cato.
