by an unlikely 3rd by points leader oddball1791 after a huge charge at the end of the race going from 8th to 3rd in the GWC. Megatron8121 would finish 4th, rounding out the top 5 was swagger-racing26.
Next week we head back east to the famed Martinsville speedway. This marks the first short track of the season.
oddball First Repeat Winner
Race five of twenty one would take place at Martinsville Speedway for some beating and banging on one of the few short track races of the season. Nine drivers would take the grid for the second consecutive week. A series high 19 cautions would give plenty of action but also driastest driverve up the impatiency.
Swagger-Racing26 would grab his first career CPR pole with a blistering 19.56. The next was jamiedobbs911 at a 19.88. Oddball, megatron, and webbs would round out the top 5. The first caution didn’t take long as oddball and dobbs got tangled in turn 1 of the first lap.
There would be a few more cautions but the first fifty laps were surprisingly non hectic. Bobby_buschfan72 would lead 26 laps before falling victim of internet issues. This opened the race back up as JamieDobbs911 would consume the lead. He would stay out over a series of cautions and maintain the lead for a race high 30 laps. A late race incident under caution would bury Dobbs late in the race.
Swagger-racing26 would assume the lead mid race with last weeks winner lupeg575 getting to second. Lupe would then run the races fastest lap trying to run him down. Oddball1791 would take the lead by not pitting and made it clear he wasn’t pitting again. If anyone was going to pass him it would be under green. Swagger-racing26 was hounding him for laps before Father and son combo ChadRick32, and Coltton would get together for a caution. Another quick caution came out which set up another green white checkered finish.
Oddball would lead the field to the green with swagger along side, Webbs and megatron row 22. Oddball would jump out quick with megatron getting a run on swagger. This was all oddball needed to squirt ahead for his 2nd win of the season. Megatron8121 would get 2nd, webbs 3rd, swagger 4th, and jamiedobbs911 finishing 5th. Chadrick, Coltton, lupeg575 who got wrecked on the last lap, and rounding out the field was bobby_buschfan72.
Next week we are off to Texas for the first night race of the season. Oddball holds the points lead over megatron by a healthy 15 points.
One Lap Led, No Problem for jamiedobbs911
Texas Motor Speedway was the host of race 6 of the season. A record high 12 drivers were present, bringing high anticipation towards competition being even stiffer. LupeG575 would grab his 2nd pole of the season with a blistering 27.83, with Bobby_Buschfan72 sitting on the outside pole. Megatron8121, oddball1791, and chadrick32 would round out the top 5.
As the green flag waved LupeG575 paced the field for the first 19 laps which were surprisingly all green flag laps. After that the race went totally downhill with an overboard 15 cautions consuming the next 40 laps of racing. Newcomer Southernshot would find himself in a series of incidents but would rebound for a solid 6th in his first start.
The final caution of the night would come out on lap 65 setting up a green white
