Webbs Takes Wild Bud Shootout

The 1st annual CPR Bud Shootout got underway Tuesday evening and five drivers showed up to start their quest to proving they are championship material. The shootout is for nothing but bragging rights, and Webbs6212 took home the glory after a last turn pass.

The night started off with qualifying as megatron8121 took the pole. He would then swap the lead with chimchim17h throughout the first segment before a green white checkered set up the finish. ChimChim17h would hold the lead on the GWC and continue to do so until off turn 2 when megatron8121 got a run and passed him into 3. Out of nowhere Sullivangate then made his move below megatron8121 exiting turn 4 and edged him to the line by .002.

Segment 2 was a 8 lap dash for the Bud Shootout win, and Timothy008 looked poised to take home the win until another late race caution bunched the field. On the restart Timothy008 held the lead until late off turn 4 when contact with webbs6212 sent both cars loose, Sullivangate and Megatron8121 both benefited from the opportunity but webbs6212 still edged them to the line.

The Daytona 500 is set to start Tuesday December 11th.

Last Lap Controversy Propels timothy008 to Victory

The first annual Daytona 100 kicked off at Daytona International Speedway and as always at Daytona it didn’t lack intensity and drama. Timothy008 kicked off the evening grabbing the pole with a 46.82 , barely edging out everyone as the whole field was seperated by just 0.05.

The first 20 laps of the event were mainly uneventful as timothy008 commanded the race and green flag conditions set the way. As the drivers got past halfway the intensity meter picked up and an array of cautions would slow down race pace. Megatron8121 would dump chimchim17h a total of 4 times as the tricky bump drafting style of racing got the best of them. The latest time would set up a final 2 lap shootout and an official green-white-checkerd.

Webbs6212 and Oddball1791 led the field to the green and stayed 1-2 throughout the first lap of the restart. Chimchim17h and Megatron8121 would get together once again ending both of their hopes at winning the Daytona 100. Timothy008 followed the leaders.
