The Franklin Area Historical Society preserves the heritage of Franklin and Franklin Township, Ohio, through its collections and community programs. We manage two historic sites: the 1901 Colonial Revival Harding home, featuring military memorabilia from General Edwin Forrest Harding and Nuremberg trial records from his brother Judge Justin Harding, and the Log Post Office Museum, an 1805 structure on the National Register of Historic Places. Through exhibitions, archives, and educational events, we connect residents and visitors to the region's founding era and legacy, ensuring that our local history remains accessible and celebrated for generations to come.

Founded in 1917 on the campus of Oberlin College, the Allen Memorial Art Museum is recognized as one of the best academic art museums in the nation. For more than a century, the Allen has promoted the study of original works of art. Always free to the public, the museum has strong holdings in American, Asian, European, and global contemporary art, with smaller but impressive collections of
African, ancient, Indigenous American, and Islamic art. The Allen’s collection of more than 15,000 works is recognized among the top academic art museums in the nation.

The mission of the August Wilson African American Cultural Center (AWAACC) is to own and operate a home for the arts, storytelling, learning and exchange around the African American experience and the rich culture of the African diaspora. We are guided by the enduring truths and essential values evident in the work of August Wilson and are one of the largest Black multi-disciplinary arts centers in the United States and is the gateway to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania’s Cultural District.
