Jarrett RIVERS
Signed from Whitley Bay in 2014, dangerous winger Jarrett scored the winner in the FA Cup Second Round tie with Hartlepool. Returned to Croft Park in the summer after making 13 appearances for Blackpool last year. After impressing in the FA Cup he had a trial with Oldham Athletic before signing a contract with Blackpool in May 2015.

Robbie DALE
The club’ s modern-day icon, Robbie has played over 500 games in the green and white of the Spartans. The captain is currently third in the all-time top scorers’ list, and leads by example on the field. Made his debut for the club back in 2005 against Wakefield & Emley, a game which also saw him net a hat trick.
Sean REID
Snapped up from West Allotment Celtic, former Barnsley trainee Reid can play anywhere down the spine of the team. A constant threat on the ball. Was also at Newcastle United as a youngster and signed for the Spartans back in the summer of 2015. Made his debut against Buxton in August 2015.
Daniel MAGUIRE
Back after a brief period at Halifax Town, Maguire’ s selfless running and knack for producing goals has endeared him to the Croft Park faithful. Snapped up from Alliance outfit Seaton Delaval in 2012. Was the club’ s top goalscorer in 2014 and 2015 and so far has 25 league goals to his name this season.
Adam WRIGHTSON
Young midfielder who signed in January from Gateshead on a month’ s loan. Recently extended his spell until April. The 20-year-old spent time on loan at Northern League club South Shields earlier this season scoring once in five appearances for the Mariners.
Luke ARMSTRONG
Luke was previously on the books at Middlesbrough and B i r m i n g h a m City, and spent last season up in Scotland with Cowdenbeath. Son of current Spartans’ manager Alun, Luke has been a valuable member of the first team squad.
THE BOSS: Alun Armstrong
Armstrong was appointed manager of the club in September, taking over the reigns from Tom Wade. The former striker featured for Newcastle United, Stockport County, Middlesbrough and Ipswich Town among others during his playing career. Armstrong began his career at Newcastle United before going on to score 62 goals in 200 games for Stockport. In December 2000 he joined Ipswich Town for £ 500,000. In the three years he was at Ipswich he scored 19 goals in 94 appearances, including a header in Ipswich ' s 1 – 0 win over Inter Milan in the 2001 – 02 UEFA Cup.
