Vendors – including growers, artisans and prepared food purveyors – are all year-round or seasonal residents, and all goods available for purchase are made on Nantucket. Also, look for the Mid-Island ‘Growers Only’ Market offered on Wednesday evenings! Farm Fresh Feast (July 30) Held amidst the farm fields under the stars, the ambiance of this mid-summer event is truly magical. One of the island’s most eagerly anticipated events, it features a cocktail party, locally-sourced gourmet dinner, auctions, live music and dancing. In 2016, the Farm Fresh Feast will be held at Sustainable Nantucket’s own incubator farm site, the Walter F. Ballinger Educational Community Farm. NantucketGrown™ Dinner Series (Fall) These popular monthly events are hosted by featured NantucketGrown™ restaurants from September to December as a benefit for Sustainable Nantucket. The hosting chefs create special one-night menus using locally-sourced ingredients. NantucketGrown™ Foodie Weekend (October 14-16) This new festival of events will celebrate Nantucket’s local food by partnering island chefs with farmers, fishermen and other food providers. Activities include chef demos, farm tours, hands-on harvesting activities, and more!
