Rules: ONE ENTRY PER CONTESTANT Entries must be submitted as an MP4 file. All videos must be submitted by the original owner or creator of the submission. Entrants must hold all rights to the submission, including copyright. Video must be prepared by the junior member and not professionally created / coordinated in any fashion. Photos used in videos do not have to be taken by the contestant but must be owned by the exhibitor. The exhibitor’ s name, address, and satellite event age division must be submitted with entry. Videos become the property of NALJA and NALF. By entering, participants agree that NALJA and NALF may use the photos in publications and promotions.
All Videos will be digitally displayed at the 2025 National Junior Limousin Show & Congress.
NALJA will run a People’ s Choice contest on Facebook during the week of NJLSC; Saturday, June 21- Wednesday, June 25 at noon.
Livestock Judging Contest This contest tests the evaluation skills of NALJA members. There will be no oral reasons, but there will be 2 question classes.
Time: Sunday, June 22 at 9 a. m. Divisions: Novice, Junior, Intermediate, and Senior as described under Individual Sweepstakes Points. There will also be an adult division. Registration: All contestants must pre-register by May 15 using the online entry system. If not preregistered, late entry will be accepted at check-in for a fee of $ 100( fee is per exhibitor not per event).
Rules: There will be four cattle classes; contestants will have 8 minutes to evaluate each class. 2 classes will have 5 questions each( 50 points possible) to be used as a tie-breaker. Classes may have performance data and a scenario. There will be no written or oral reason on any class. While the contest is in progress, there will be no talking among contestants. Contestants may not talk to anyone else except the group leader. Violation will result in disqualification.
Sales Talk This contest allows NALJA members to become familiar with marketing their animals to prospective buyers.
Time: Monday, June 23 at 2 p. m. Divisions: Novice, Junior, Intermediate, and Senior as described under Individual Sweepstakes Points.

Rules: Contestants will have the opportunity to“ sell” one of their animals. Contestants who are not exhibiting may borrow another junior’ s animal if the other junior is not using it in the contest. Contestants should have in mind how their animals rank in relation to the buyer’ s situation. They then will meet the“ buyer”( the judge) individually and present their sales talks about how their animals fit the buyer’ s given situation. Contestants also should be prepared to answer the buyer’ s questions about their animals. Each contestant gets 5 minutes to talk to the buyer. The sales talk should be an informal discussion between the contestant and the buyer( judge). Contestants should be prepared to discuss performance information and visually appraised traits as they relate to the buyer’ s situation. No formal preparation is necessary. Seniors will be given a scenario to use in the contest. The scenario will be sent after the May 15 deadline.
Public Speaking This contest allows NALJA members to test their speaking skills.

Rules: At the time of the contest, each contestant must turn in three cards with the contestant’ s name, and the topic of the speech. Speeches must pertain to the beef industry. Visual aids are limited to physical charts, etc. No slides, overheads, or any other electrical aids will be allowed. Contestants will be evaluated on content, presentation, creativity, and answers to questions. Time Limits are as follows: Novice: not to exceed 5 minutes Junior: not to exceed 5 minutes Intermediate: 5 to 7 minutes Senior: 7 to 10 minutes
