PLACES OF INTEREST
Although the US Virgin islands consist of 3 major islands, St. Croix tries to stay separate from the other two, St.
John and St. Thomas, in terms of tourism. It is however still known for its excellent beaches some of which are
ranked among the world’s best. In addition to its beaches, there are historical and cultural sites that can be
visited.
Virgin Islands
National Park
The Virgin Islands National
Park consists of most of the
island of St. John and so has a
lot for visitors to see. Visitors
can best experience the
national park by following any
of the many trails but should
perhaps get maps of the park
before setting out alone. As
the park includes two thirds
of the island, including coast
line and some small islands,
snorkeling is also popular in
the park.
