The oak kept growing taller and taller and its branches
became stronger and bigger. With no shadow from other trees, the
strain got thicker and the crown wider.
Whenever there was trouble, when the Turks or Tatars were
invading, it is said the Moldavian ruler would hide all valuable
objects inside the hollow of the oak. Over time, the hollow closed
and a whole treasure remained inside it.
