Are you prepared as you could be? None of us really ever are. Thus, an Estate Planning Workshop was held to inform 39 farm and ranch owners, as well as the public, why estate planning is so important and what you need to know to protect yourself and your interests.
Tiffany Dowell Lashmet, J.D., AgriLife Law Specialist, and Barrett Kolle of Northwestern Mutual, San Antonio, spoke on trusts, business entities and tax issues to consider when estate planning. They shared good and bad examples of proper planning and lack thereof. They also offered professional advice to individual concerns and assistance when planning for the future.
