the second that things happen,
does it make your job harder or
easier?

AG: I think that everybody is

so much smarter. Everyone is
exposed to so much. The world
is flat. Everyone has access to
information, so it takes more to
be an expert. From my vantage
point, I want to just make sure
that I have a point of view that is
based on the gathering of a lot
of information, and then I look
and see what’s right for Belk.

Jodi: What do you want

elementary school students to
know about fashion?

AG: Just look in the mirror and

feel good about what you’re
pulling together. There aren’t a
lot of rules now. Don’t be afraid
to be yourself and to personalize
your look in a way that really
works for you, because fashion is
about fun.
