We have three, self-contained,
autistic classrooms. All three will
take part in the opening ceremonies
of the April 2014 Special Olympics in
Charlotte.
In April, Selwyn Elementary
celebrates the arts. We turn the
school into a gallery and every child has
a piece of art displayed in the school.
This year, Selwyn Elementary staff
supported Cookies for Cancer and
sold more than $7,000 worth of shirts for
clinical trials and research.

The Red Ribbon Reading fundraiser
is our only fundraiser. Students
receive pledges for the amount they
read. Students completed more than
100,000 hours of reading this year.

Our PTA pays for every class
to attend a performance at the
Children’s Theatre of Charlotte.
