effective way to deal. You must face the fact that you have flaws... we all do. Look in the mirror and get it all out of your system. Accept it. It is what it is. Fix what you can fix, within reason of course and move on. If you ' re overweight, focus on diet and exercise. If you have acne, develop a skincare regimen. You hate your hair, learn how to take care of it or get a bomb weave. If you don ' t like it, do something about it, but be realistic. Now embrace it. Yeah, you have a few flaws, but rather than put so much emphasis on them, play up the good stuff. Has someone told you you have nice eyes, lips, smile, body shape, hair, etc? Enhance those areas to the fullest so that they ' re always the focal point and not your flaws. Misdirection... works every time!!!
STEP 5: Forget Everything Negative You ' ve Been Told-It ' s time to silence those negative voices. Were you teased as a kid, in high school, in your neighborhood, or even by your own family? It ' s time to shut all of those people up. Focus on the good things people have said about you, or even the things you like about yourself. Why in the world would you want to replay sadness, heartache and pain? Every time you find yourself buying into something bad someone has said about you, call it out for the liar that it is and say something positive. Force those old ghosts in your mind to like you and maybe then they ' ll stop haunting you. Reminds me of the song“ Perfect” by Pink. She says,“ Change the voices in your head. Make them like you instead.” I rest my case.
STEP 6: Become More Interesting-This would be the perfect time to embrace being the“ weird chick.” The more unique you are, the more intriguing you become to other people. And the more intriguing you are, the more people are drawn to you. Common is boring. Shake people up by offering them a little excitement. Visit places that your peers haven ' t been. Eat foods that they don ' t eat. Listen to music that they don ' t listen to. Be unique. Open your mind and they will too. Weird is officially the new black!
STEP 7: Be Nice!
-Irregardless of wealth, status, beauty, or whatever else we long for, most of us have a soft spot for nice people. Granted, some people are far too ignorant to fully appreciate this particular mannerism, but generally, good people are good to go! Make it a habit to smile on a daily basis. Talk kindly to and about others. Give compliments when you see something you like. Help someone in need. Simply put... be nice. While you think looks and waist size and designer handbags really matter, you ' d be surprised how much a flaw is overlooked in the presence of niceness, while that other stuff won ' t even get you through the front door. Kindness IS beauty! Be confidently nice and sit back and watch the universe repay you handsomely or in this case gorgeously.
