Other Roads Are Open
For Private Traffic
You may take your car onto Kolob Terrace Road, Kolob Canyons Road,
and Mt. Carmel Highway.
• Kolob Terrace Road. Beginning at the Kolob Reservoir, the Kolob
Terrace Road is a 20-mile drive that covers some steep terrain. You will
traverse the upper Kolob plateau and head to the lower plateau. If you
are planning to pull a trailer, this is not the road to go on. It goes through
the desert washes and into the high elevations. Besides that, be mindful
of your car's brakes before taking this road.
• Kolob Canyons Road. At the northern end of the park, Kolob Canyons
Road is accessible by taking exit 40 off the Interstate 15. It is a five-mile
drive that takes you to a scenic viewpoint. Marvel at the red rocks and
fantastic canyon formations.
