Unexpectedly , FEET and the ministry of the artistes ended their season with YWAMSG just as Matt and Celia handed over the leadership to Alan Lim . Naturally , the financial support generated from the ministries left with them , and the immediate , following months were fraught with challenges for our succeeding National Director . The staff strength dwindled , his personal funding was retracted , the restructuring of base accommodation generated an unpopular policy he calls ‘ user pays ’, and a legal tussle with the government over our taxes ensued . “ I thought I was going to run a mission but I was overwhelmed with mounting debts .” Very quickly , the vision that God had given him for Singapore , which had drawn him back from Saipan , took a back seat .
But God is the beginning , the middle and the end of all things . Nothing comes into being apart from Him . And everything has its time and reason for existing from Him . By God ’ s terms , when it was time again for Alan to revisit this vision , he simply walked back into it . By then , God had shown Himself in the thick of their day-to-day lives . Beyond the miraculous provisions that covered YWAMSG ’ s debts , through divine connections and friendships , which only He could orchestrate ; the words He spoke — that takes faith to see — were the enduring miracles . And , in turn , the miracle of our yes , which could only come by the miracle of His work within us — by His grace that gave us strength to follow Him — carried our feet to tell the tale .
