Game of Thrones

Final Episode

It finally happened. GAME OF THRONES has come to an end. For eight years this show aired for the enjoyment of people, the adaptation of the words of a genius writer (George R. R. Martin) and creating something in a scale no one has seen before. The creators (David Benioff & D.B. Weiss) successfully brought their vision to life and when they had to finish the dream of every fan, they did it in the way they thought was best.

While some people, like me, thought the ending was beautiful, most of the fans and the critics were disappointed. With a score of 49% on Rotten tomatoes, the finale also brought the highest viewership in HBO history with a record of 19.3 million viewers. Still the reviews were bad. Those who dislike the finale of Game of thrones probably doesn't understand completely the show and are probably also the ones who shouted: "why Jon Snow isn't the king?! This show sucks". So let me clear the air and help all those people, including the critics, why it was the perfect finale.

After a season that ended most of the crowd's questions, the threat of the white walkers (thanks to the unexpected Arya) and in the penultimate episode the so called final villain, Cersei. what we have learned is that the real final threat is Daenerys Targaryen. That is the first issue I'm here to clear. For many seasons, the mother of dragons had millions of fans, and those fans got upset when their favorite khaleesi turned mad and blamed the show writers for bad writing. So for those who are angry, Daenerys madness didn't come by surprise and was hinted from the start, and while she had all her advisors to restrain all her impulses, in the season finale she had no one and that’s what caused her to lose her senses. I say this to the ones who declared: "the show butchered the character". So by all means, although it's sad, we have to kill the final threat for peace. Go ahead Jon!
