My interest for glamping started approximately a year ago when I saw that this new initiative started to become popular in Colombia. I felt that the combination of nature and comfort would be interesting to a lot of people. It is a relatively new concept that I got to know approximately a year ago when it first came to Colombia. I think that what attracted me the most about glamping is that I saw an economic opportunity through which I could help myself and my family. I’ve always wanted to start my own business and was seeking to achieve this for a long time already. The popularity and recognition glamping gained in Colombia was the perfect opportunity for me to dive in with this type of entrepreneurship. The market that glamping targets is very specific as it is targeted towards people with a considerable income that are willing to spend on exclusive entertainment experience such as glamping. Most of the people that want to take part in these activities tend to be younger and willing to enjoy a different experience.
I believe that I have had quite an experience regarding this topic since I have built my own glamping place (partially from scratch) which means that I have put a lot of work, effort and research in it. I think it has helped me a lot in a variety of aspects and has rewarded me a considerable amount of life experience. What I believe is a key part of my project was problem solving because we really had a lot of issues along the way that we had to solve by thinking critically. In semana santa when I welcomed the firsts guests It teached me a lot about diversity and how people had so many different background, profiles and philosophies.
