Speaker Biographies
Drew Harden, president and co-founder of Blue Compass, has grown and guided the
company from a two-person startup in 2007 to one of the Midwest’s leading digital marketing
companies today. Harden is actively involved in company direction, client relationships
and the management of the Blue Compass team. In addition, he offers creative direction
on projects that have been honored by prestigious organizations such as Adobe, the
Association of Marketing & Communication Professionals, the American Advertising
Association and American Design Awards. Harden has a deep knowledge of digital
marketing and serves as a speaker at marketing conferences around the country on topics
like search engine optimization and content marketing. He has been cited and featured
as an expert in digital marketing by PR News, USA Today and the American Marketing
Association.
William R Gombeski, Jr serves as senior advisor for UK HealthCare in Lexington,
Kentucky. UK HealthCare is the clinical enterprise for the University of Kentucky with nearly
10,000 employees and 900 physicians serving patients from Kentucky, West Virginia,
Ohio and Tennessee. He has served in a variety of marketing and sales roles at UK
HealthCare, Yale New Haven Health System, Henry Ford Health System, Cleveland Clinic,
Baylor College of Medicine, University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and The
Southwestern Company in Nashville, Tennessee. He has master’s degrees in public health
and business administration from the University of Houston. Gombeski speaks regularly
on the role marketing plays in helping consumers and physicians acquire the best care
available.
Reba Thompson is director of business development for WriterGirl & Associates, a
professional writing company exclusively for hospitals and health systems in Cincinnati,
Ohio. She is a seasoned speaker who is passionate about finding solutions to help support
the increasing demand to publish content. A competitive soccer player in college, Thompson
still enjoys playing sports, personal training (she’s a certified trainer) and motivating others
to adopt healthy habits.
