Procedures related to cancelled activities:
1. Any teacher missing school must inform Cecilia when they call in sick, etc. if they are scheduled for an ASA that day so proper procedures could be applied.
2. If any activity is cancelled, the Activities Coordinator will send an e-mail to all teachers to let them know about cancellation. This mail will be sent once that all parents have been informed and we are sure that students will be retrieved after 2:15. In this mail, teachers will be informed about any student whose parents couldn't be contacted so they can send those students to the library.
3. Aides/Room teachers are responsible for the students under their supervision (PK-G5)
while taking them to the Covered Area and during the time students are waiting for sponsors. The students must be delivered to the sponsor, and under no circumstances may the students be left in a classroom/court/field without supervision.
Please remember that some sponsors work until 2:30 pm while elementary students finish by 2:20 pm, so they could be late. NEVER assume that there is no activity and if you have any doubts, the proper procedure is to take them to Cecilia's office to double check if parents were contacted.
You cannot let parents take care of any students that are not their own children, even if they offer to do so.
