Rules and Policies for Parents and Students

Procedures for Sponsors & Teachers

1. All teachers must offer one ASA per person

2. If a proposed ASA does not complete a minimum of 6 students, then it will be closed and the sponsor will be assigned to another activity

3. The ASA Coordinator will provide an updated master list of students participating in ASA progran; any student attending but not in the master list must be asked to fill an ASA form with the ASA Coordinator.

4. All ASAs sponsored by elementary teachers will begin at 2:25pm and the ones sponsored by secondary teachers will begin at 2:35. All ASAs will end at 3:15 pm.

5. At 2:20 pm Elementary Students (PK - G5) will be escorted by the Aide/Room Teacher to the Covered Area and grouped by ASA activities. The Aide/Room Teacher will supervise their corresponding students till all of them have been taken by the Sponsors.

6. Sponsors will retrieve the students from the Covered Area and escored them to their activities.

7. Sponsors must check attendance to their activities and communicate to the ASA Coordinator for any student missing the activity.

8. At 3:15 pm all teachers sponsoring an activity must take their students to the Bus Stop where they will wait to be retrieved. After 3:30pm the parents of the students that were not retrieved will received a call from the Principal's office informing that the student is waiting at the Bus Stop.

9. Any student that remains at school after 2:20pm, must be part of our programs (ASA, Sports and Tutoring) or must be at the library for study time, no students must be allowed to wander around the school premises. We encourage all teachers to help us of enforce this policy.

10. In case that any student requests an after-school time to work with a teacher, this must be communicated via e-mail to Cecilia and Paola.
