A Series of Business Technology Networking
On November 15 , 2016 , SACC-Philadelphia welcomed guests to Make Offices in Center City of Philadelphia to the first panel discussion of a series of Business Technology Networking . The name of the panel discussion was “ Organizing Chaos ”, which reflects the information overload many companies are experiencing today . It is important that companies can find ways to structure all the information in an effective way . The event hightlighted the trends within communication and explored how new technology within communication can help companies to improve their businesses . The panel consisted of four communication experts , Steve Noonan from Ericsson , Diane Engler from SCA , Leanne Vuksanic from Comcast and Anders Nasman from Briteback .
The evening started with networking , food and refreshments in form of pizza and beer from Yards brewery . We also served whiskey sponsord by WhistlePig , sweets and coffee to enjoy after the food .
When all the guests had gathered , Erwin Apell , Chairman of SACC-Philadelphia , opened the evening with welcoming remarks and introduced the moderator , David Engstrom , the president of SACC-Philadelphia . The panel explored how to internally and externally communicate efficiently . Questions were asked such as “ What kind of technology is your company using when communicating ?”, “ What kind of applications do you use when communicating internally ?”, “ What are the latest trends within communication and how are you working with adapting to the mobile environment ?”. The panel discussion was very interesting and highlighted how companies are working on improving their ways of communicating by using different tools such as Skype during meetings .
The panel was followed by a raffle drawing with prices donated by a variety of sponsors . It was a wonderful business event that was attended by 60 guests , both members and non-members . The event was a success based on the feedback that we have received . One of the guests who had flown in from Sweden said that “ it was very interesting to hear different views on communication from large and small companies and how much they are working on improving it , the event was great !”
