CEO SPEAKS …………..

Dear Programme Managers,
One more eventful year bids adieu. ASAP, in its scale of operations increased its reach and strength in 2016. Introduction of session wise Quality Framework through MIS, delayed but successful SSS 2016, commencement of construction of Community Skill Parks, recruiting more Programme managers, Trainers Academy, Government’ s sanction for delegation of powers, reorganising the programme managers etc. were some of the milestones of our organisation in the last year. Special mention is needed for the exercise of reorganising the existing programme managers, with the creation of new eight roles at the apex level. Each new incumbent in every other role – new DPMs, new sector PMs, new division PMs- brought new action and thought in their respective job roles, whereby organisation as a whole underwent a positive transformation.
In the coming year, we will have increased responsibilities, mid-term review of the programme by ADB, operationalizing Community Skill Parks, starting talent labs in schools as part of the declared mission programme of Education Department etc. Completion of all Skill classes of 2015-16 & assessments including the APTIS and commencing all Skill batches of 2016-17 as early as possible, not later by April first week, will be the core responsibilities on all of us. ASAP should also be able to take up new additional responsibilities entrusted by the State.
As a whole, Programme Managers kept the energy and passion levels high, ensuring the high quality of delivery of skill training. I thank each one of my team mates – ASAP Core team members, Programme Managers and Programme Executives and all others supporting the programme – for putting their best efforts to keep the programme in its high velocity trajectory to attain ambitious targets. Without your contribution and support, ASAP could not have become what it is now.
We shall continue to work as a team. We shall keep our efforts to improve the quality of Skill training, to introduce better changes in Schools and Colleges and to streamline the governance protocols within the organisation. All this will bring positive changes, not only in the spaces we work, but also in the ecosystems, of which we all are part of. Let us complete the preparatory works in January and February, consolidate all our gains before next SSS and look for a full throttle go ahead for skill batches of 2016-17.
I wish each one of you and your dear ones a happy, prosperous and blessed year ahead.
