ASAP believes in continuous training for supporting each team member to achieve the common goal i. e., quality in skill training. To equip the team members, trainings are provided on multiple aspects based on the job roles performed by each. Training on broader skills, applicable in a wide range of situations including decision making, creative thinking and management are an essential part of ASAP trainings. The two basic training programmes organized by ASAP are the capacity building programmes for the Programme Managers and Skill Development Executives.
Training for Senior Programme Managers
A two day training was organized on 19th and 20th October 2015 at the Kerala Forest Research Institute, Peechi, Thrissur for Senior Programme Managers. The programme addressed ideas, methods and tools for overall professional and personal development of the participants. 25 Senior Programme Managers across the state participated in the programme.
Workshop for Programme Managers
One day workshop was conducted at the RTTC Training Centre, Kaimanam, Thiruvananthapuram for Programme Managers in charge of Districts and Skill Development Centres in two phases on 10th and 11th September 2015. The workshop meant for planning the annual activities mainly focused on the following:
• Discussion about the institution orientation and student selection procedure 2015-‘ 16,
• Conduct of Aptitude Test and batch formation 2015-‘ 16
• District wise activity planning for the year 2015-16,
Training for Skill Development Executives
SDE transformational training programmes for the year 2015 started on 2nd January 2015. As on November 2015 a total of 385 SDEs, including 179 student trainers selected through TPS and 206 candidates from the open selection, have been trained in 12 batches.
