In the Summer Training programme 2015 of ASAP termed as the‘ Summer Skill Skool’, ASAP devised three models for implementation 1. Demand Operate Train( DOT) Scheme 2. Design Operate Assess Place( DOAP) Scheme 3. Design Align Train( DAT) Scheme
Demand Operate Train( DOT) Scheme:
In this training model, interested Government and Aided institutions select and conduct a skill course from a bouquet of skill courses offered by ASAP. Duty of providing infrastructure and facilities with support of a Course Director was entrusted with the institution. A lump sum of Rs 40,000 is allotted to institutions for the execution of the programme and ASAP monitors the quality of delivery and adherence to the time schedule.
PROCESS FLOW
Interested institutions apply online identifying suitable job verticals and related training programmes considering the aspirations of students. Project readiness audit was then done by ASAP through its Programme Managers and Senior Programme Managers. Course Directors of each institution were was provided with a Login in ASAP MIS, to enter student data, create batch, enroll students, schedule classes and mark attendance. Each DOT institution gets mapped to an SDC and a Programme Manager is allotted for quality monitoring. ASAP also engages quality assurers with relevant technical expertise in the domain to evaluate trainers during training delivery.
