Scheduling
Pre-production was the stage that needed most scheduling, as I was doing 2D animation, a lot of things had to be decided to the
point. Such as camera angles, animation time on screen, how I wanted the character to move. I created and updated 3 Gantt charts.
I really liked using a Gantt chart, it allowed me to see individual tasks, and time visually. I used to do list which allowed me to hit
targets daily. I relied more on google schedules than I had done previously. It meant all my schedules were easily accessible and in
the same place.
My naming conventions for my files.
I wanted to keep my working areas organised and practical. This would be something expected of me if working in an animation
studio, so I wanted to ensure I kept my files tidy. I did research into effective naming conventions prior to animating. I discovered
consistency and practicality was a must. I began more persistent in backing up my work. Creating organised areas for all my animating
files to go. Using my computer, my hard drive and google docs.
