Fences is a 2016 American drama film directed by Denzel Washington
Troy Maxson makes his living as a sanitation worker in 1950s Pittsburgh. Maxson once dreamed of becoming a professional baseball player, but was deemed too old when the major leagues began admitting black athletes. Bitter over his missed opportunity, Troy creates further tension in his family when he squashes his son’ s chance to meet a college football scout.
On review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, the fi lm has an approval rating of 93 % based on 204 reviews, with critics praising both Washington and Viola’ s performance. The fi lm has an average rating of 7.7 / 10. The site’ s critical consensus reads,“ From its reunited Broadway stars to its screenplay, the solidly crafted Fences fi nds its Pulitzer-winning source material fundamentally unchanged – and still just as powerful.
The Film has won multiple awards with Viola Daviswinning best supporting actress at the Oscars.

Tabu who comes from an affl uent background is newly graduated doctor from abroad. She returns back to the country and decides to give back to the society and together with her long time college friend Zainab they set up a health center in one of Nairobi’ s most notorious slums, but things don’ t go exactly as planned.
The show which airs every Tuesday at 8.30 pm Stars Nice Githinji as DrTaabu, VeroniicaWaceke as DrzainabandElly young Omukubi as Sniper. The medical drama is set in the Nairobi‘ s notorious slum back ground, the show seeks to introduce us to the myriad medical and social challenges faced in the ghettos.
The show and Lead Actress Nice Githinji have been nominated for Riverwood Awards.
