HOW IT ALL STARTED I wasn't born with a silver spoon, hence growing up in Ajegunle was tough. We faced so much hardship and could barely aford 3 square meals per day. In my early 20s, worked as a hairstylist but never got paid on tme. I thought marriage would be an escape route from hunger and hardship, so at the age of 24, I met the man I thought would be my husband and my “happily ever aferr. He was over a decade older than me and he had two young children under the age of 10. I LOVE CHILDRE , hence my love for him multplied instantly. He narrated what transpired between him and his ex-wife and me being young and naive, I forgot the Yoruba proverb that says, "Pasan t af na iyale, oun be l'ori aja fun iyawo". It means “the cane that was used for the frst wife is awaitng the second wife on the roofr. (Although it difers from case to case) THE MARRIAGE
