the shift from distinguishing themselves not by what they sell but by how those products and
services are delivered.
“ Globalization now requires an effective human capital management (HCM) and
organizations believe that digital technologies can radically impact the manner
in which employees connect & communicate.

Fundamental shift across all industries due to delivery of products/services and edgy global
environment, has spurred changes in the way most organizations are structured and managed
and Human Resource function in organizations is at the vanguard position of sweeping those
changes.
HR honchos of organizations are aware that globalization would require – an effective human
capital management (HCM) and believe Digital technologies can radically impact the manner
in which employees and prospects across all connect and communicate with organizations.
One of the mauling impact of geographical or product portfolio expansion, is the creation of
Business Silos where business units operating in isolation prevent the flow of information and
resources across businesses, thus causing bedlam and reduction in efficiency of overall
operation. Such Business precariousness again results in clear lack of collaboration and non-
aligned priorities across businesses which need to be ironed out by shifting from the people
driven processes to a system driven procedure & control and HR plays a pivotal role here.
