The process of choosing a volunteer When you are in the stage of choosing candidates, you should follow these three simple steps: 1st step: Decide what kind of experience you seek your volunteer to have?  Highly skilled professionals  Little to no experience What kind of motivation you expect from the volunteer?  Personal development  Professional development  Social contact  Personal interest 2nd step: When you have made your mind about who you’re looking for, create the call for volunteers???of proposal. Process of choosing:  Publish the call of proposal (Facebook page, organisation’s webpage, SALTO) At the call you should ask for:  Personal information (name, surname, date of birth, country of residence)  Professional background  Motivation to participate in the project  Contribution to the project  Expectations from the project  Hobbies  Any other important information (special needs) You should have the specific deadline for the applications.  Evaluate the applications / Out search the most suitable ones  Arrange the SKYPE interview with the chosen candidates, ask them in advance to prepare questions for you about the project 3rd step: 8
