The Decider
State of Origin 3- The NRL match that was said to be the game of all games. It all started at a mates hoouse, we had had a big day and where looking forward to watching the state of origin and hoping for the Blues to win. We had it all set up, the pizza was ordered, the TV was on and the couches were set. There was about five minutes until the hooter was gonna sound when our pizzas arrived, We thanked the pizza guy then we were well and truly set to watch the origin. When the hooter sounded we were all fired up ready for the origin to begin but when the Queenslanders came out more fired up than us that's when we were really in trouble. They conceded the first try early and Cameron Smith made the kick. When we came back out at them again we thought where where in with a chance especially when we scored and made the conversion. The second half hooter sounded shortly after that and when the blues came on to the second half a bit flat footed that's when you could feel the game changing in the way of Queensland.
The Maroons came out firing and hungry to win and show the fans why there the best. The Maroons scored 3 minutes into the second half putting the blues under even more pressure. The happy fired up blues fans had become old and tired blues fans. The blues got one more try bringing them back to 12-16 (Maroons way) the blues were in with a chance they just had to fight for it but unfortunately they couldn't fight against the mighty Maroons and their power. The Maroons scored again and that's when it was all over for the blues. The spirit and hunger to win was gone because the Maroons knew they had one it. In the dying minutes of the game the Maroons players were already shaking hands and congratulating with there mates that they had won, when the Blues were moping around the field just trying to hang in it. The hooter went off and not even a second later the TV went off. We were all very disappointed and didn't want to watch it or talk about it we just decided to go to bed. Disappointed and angry.
