Power of
the Mind
O
ne day as I was walking back home from
school it was very late. No one was there and I start-
ed to walk but I felt lights on behind me when I turned
back no one was there and lights were switched off. At
that time I was very afraid to stand there and I started
to cry because I felt like being left alone in a big dark
room. After some time a sudden glow came from a
house far away and I thought that if I find someone
there I can get help from them. I started to walk to
that house but when I knocked the door there was
no response, so I decided to go into the house. When
I opened the door and walked few steps inside the
house I heard a different voice. That voice said to me
“Come to the room next to you” but there was no
door next to me so I asked the voice “Where is the
room? There is no room next to me.” That voice re-
plied “There is a room but the door for the room
is your mind. Tell your mind that you have to come
into the room you will be here in 10 seconds”. My
mind followed the instructions of that voice and when
I opened my eyes I was in that room. At that time I
thought that this is my dream not real but I was not
able to wake up. The voice asked me “Why are you
here? What is your problem? Why did you choose this
way?” I told all that happened and how I felt lost. The
voice started to talk again. “I followed you from school
because you are alone. I felt that I can help you but
you think like I ask you to. The voice gave instruc-
tions and I start to forget about where am I now and
what am I. After some time, when I opened my eyes, I
am near my house and I did not know what had hap-
pened. The voice I heard was my mind, the power of
my mind had spoken.
