Each year, Beyonce donates $100,000 to a cosmetology school centre located in New York. The funds are used to train the younger generation in cosmetics.
Beyonce has donated to over thirty-six charities
Beyonce has given back to the community greatly. In 2005, Beyonce served as the ambassador for World's Children's Day. She released song, "Stand up for Love," to help the initiative for the cause. The song became the anthem for the annual event. The overall intent of the foundation is to bring awareness and collect funds for childrens' causes. Possibly one of her greatest accomplishments had been to Survivor Foundation. She co-founded the organization with fellow member of Destiny's Child, Kelly Rowland. Together, the women helped victims of Hurricane Katrina. Then in 2006, she continued to provide her support to victims by holding a series of food drives before her concerts. A year later, in 2007, Beyonce partnered with many anti-hunger organizations. Some of these included: Feeding America, The Global Food Banking Network, and The Houston Food Bank. Beyonce, also, frequently travels to underprivileged countries in Asia and Africa to lift up their spirits and provide a little bit of inspiration to their lives.
