Dulles Solar Farm Partnership Update
Dominion will install the solar facility on approximately 835 acres of underutilized property under a long-term sublease with the Airports Authority .
Major Advance for Clean Transportation
As part of the sublease , the Airports Authority will receive a fleet of electric vehicles and buses , as well as charging infrastructure to support them . In addition , Dominion will construct , operate , and maintain a carport solar facility in the Dulles economy parking lot , which will benefit the Airports Authority directly by reducing its energy costs and increasing its supply of green power . This project highlights the Airports Authority ’ s ability to leverage its assets and implement innovative business models to affect positive environmental change at all levels of its operations .
