Waste Minimization Efforts
The Airports Authority implemented the following measures in 2023 to minimize waste from internal operations in office and administrative space :

• Coordinated with Airports Authority departments to review and reduce the inventory of hardcopy files at an off-site storage facility and by 60 file boxes and 45 feet of container storage space .
• Collected and consolidated paper and toner materials daily , resulting in 31.96 tons of paper and 0.22 tons of toner cartridges recycled in 2023 .
In July 2023 , the Airports Authority ' s concessions Manager collaborated with technology asset disposal company , Securis , to organize e-recycling . The Airports Authority facilitated the responsible disposal of thousands of lithium-ion batteries and a variety of outdated electronic devices , including printers , monitors , hard drives , computers and point of sale systems .
