Juliet found her dress at a bridal boutique in Delaware, but was looking for something simple and completely different. When she showed pictures of the venue to the boutique owner, she said,“ Oh no, you need something dramatic for a setting like that,” and voila! Juliet found the perfect dress.
The couple chose a black and white color palette with pops of copper, surrounded by greenery. In keeping with the black and white theme, Matthew wore a white jacket with black pants and a black tie, while the groomsmen and bridesmaids wore all black. The Flower Merchant elevated this theme by incorporating white flowers throughout the ceremony and reception, keeping everything elegant and sophisticated.
All of the guests stayed at the Hilton Hotel in Branson and were shuttled to the venue by Party Bus King and Fisk Transportation. Upon arrival, they were greeted by Vintage Paris espresso’ s cart, making everyone their favorite coffee beverage while they got settled in and seated for the ceremony.
While the dream outdoor wedding was in the works, the weather had other plans. Juliet became obsessed with watching the weather forecast, as it called for rain on their wedding day. That morning it poured until noon, then abruptly stopped, thankfully giving everything time to dry before the 4:30 pm ceremony.
Juliet did not want to have a first look, but she says in the end, she was glad she did.“ We had a first look and said our private vows to each other. This allowed us to take some photos together and have more time for dancing!”
The sun was out and it was finally time to start the wedding. Juliet recalls,“ I felt like I was having an out-of-body experience when they opened the doors to the ceremony and I walked down the aisle with my dad to Matthew. Everything felt surreal! After the ceremony, when we met with the bridal party before we took photos, it was such a good feeling to be surrounded by all the people we love.”
Juliet has known photographer Dawn Williams since she was a child and there was no one else she would rather have capture her wedding.“ She has been booked for my wedding since I was six years old!” One of the many reasons they chose The Venue at Shadow Rock was the breathtaking overview. Photographers Dawn and Adam timed it just right and captured a beautiful sunset photo of the newlyweds.
While the couple was snapping photos, the cocktail hour kicked off with a tasty charcuterie spread by Lavish Grazing and signature drinks named after their pets. Guests could have a“ Georgie( their dog),”- an old fashioned, or a“ Winky( their one-eyed cat)”- a margarita. Then friends and family were treated to an elegant, plated and served dinner, catered by Simply Delicious with Tuscan chicken and bacon-wrapped tenderloin. To top off the dinner, Charity Fent created a beautiful three tier white cake with tiramisu filing and a huge white ribbon bow. Everyone loved their meal, including the newlyweds.
After the cake was cut, Juliet changed into a reception dress and had her hairdresser pull her hair into an up-do. It was time to kick off the party with a champagne tower and dancing! Live Events kept the party going with the couple’ s favorite music. Celebrating and kicking up their heels on the dance floor with all the people they love is a treasured memory for the newlyweds.
The couple was supposed to end the night at 10:00 pm with a cold sparkler exit, but at 9:30, a storm started to move in with lightning popping in the background. The newlyweds made a quick exit while the bridal party and vendors scrambled to pack everything up before the downpour. Just as all the guests were loaded onto the shuttles and party bus, the heavens opened up and torrents of rain drenched the party.
Juliet says,“ I stressed myself out trying to physically control the weather, even though there was nothing I could do about it.” In the end, the Alvinis had the perfect outdoor wedding they dreamed of, despite the rain. Xxoxo
